"It's old, and out of context!"
So to protect myself from projectile vomiting I haven't done an analysis or commented on the three hour "Get Spocko" whine-fest on KSFO, but one of the criticisms leveled against me is that the clips were old or taken out of context or "we apologized already!"
Of course just like the way they project, they only see in others what they do themselves, because they KNOW how THEY act and they assume that everyone will act as they do.
I have three words for them. Howard Dean Scream.
How many years have you been using this? Now THAT is out of context. But you never bother explaining that story do you?

Any hateful words you find on this blog is most likely a quote from Morgan, Rodgers or Sussman. And please note that it was Melanie Morgan of ABC/Disney station KSFO who said about you, "If there are sponsors who listen to these idiots, and I'm not sure there are, despite what they say," asserted Morgan, "but if that's the case, I know who it would be. It would be some craven little time buyers at an advertising agency someplace who have no guts whatsoever." (link to MediaNewsDaily).

Be well time buyers, we bloggers respect your work. Unlike some. You have a tough job, these people just don't appreciate you. We do. That is why we are happy for you to listen to the shows. They can exert pressure on KSFO to comply weeth their (the sponsors') principles, and use Spocko's call for accountablilty as the reason.
Now KSFO eetself ees between Scylla y Charibdus.
Eef they cut down on the inflammatory rhetoric een order to please their sponsors, they risk losing listeners, and ratings.
But eef they fleeng red meat to their listeners, they further alienate their sponsors, no?

Let me add a few things...I don't think the advertisers are in a catbird seat at all...they control the purse strings and decide where their ads go. They are big enough companies and can and will reach their audiences without KSFO, even if it is a highly-rated station in the Bay Area. There are plenty of other media outlets out there.
Listen to good ole Rush Limbaugh and you'll see that most of his advertisers are small-time qet-rich-quick schemes, over-the-counter-medications, learn-from-home schemes, etc. Very little national major US companies.

por favor people, write follow up letters to the editor of the NYT, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Media Post Publications... and do it in the next two days while the story is current.
I would be interested to know if there are any documented instances of hate speech on KSFO directed at gays since, say 1995 or 1996. If you can't find them it's because the organized protests in SF of those years were effective, and because KSFO came under the direction of Disney/ABC... and this stuff just ain't legal
(neither was the "Say Allah is a wh***" harrassment, either)

ok, i'm a sf resident....last year a knbr personality (http://dir.salon.com/story/news/sports/2005/08/10/krueger/index.html) as well as a producer lost thier jobs with a rant way more obscure than the 'halfrIcan' thang....ksfo is the OAKLAND RAIDERS falgship station......Oakland is a union town...it is also a town very proud of its diversity... i wonder how the RAIDER NATION may view the commentary of a failed TV weatherman, of another man, who may be the next president of these united states.
