Katrina and the Federal Flood

Graphic from New Orleans blogger Suspect Device.

No, Bush didn't cause the hurricane and NOBODY IS SAYING THAT he did, except right-wingers throwing up strawmen. But the major damage in New Orleans was from the Federal Flood. The ACOE has admitted their culpability. I'd like to see that included in ever story this week.

As the magical El Gato Negro reminds us, Scout Prime at First Draft has been on top of this story since the beginning.

Of course he didn't have to cause the hurricane, any more than he had to cause 9/11.

He just used it as an excuse to electorally- and incidently ethnically- cleanse it.

Kelley B!!! Hi!

As El Gato Negro said about Bush, "the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime"

I do wish that we could crack his media control when he is on the road. It would be nice for someone to pop his isolation bubble while he is there and tell him the real story. But that's not gonna happen. So we need to keep telling the media what really did happen and not let the strawmen creators' talking points go unchallenged.

Believe eet or not, thees ees no the most asinine theeng I have heard from las trollitas today, but they have been almost a leetle subdued, as eef they recognize what a horrible legacy El Chimperador and hees gang of incompetent crooks and gomberros have left for them.

Eet could be they finally begin to realize that because of their President, New Orleans weel look the same next year as eet does now, as eet did 19 months ago. That weel no go over so well weeth the American public, eh?
Thees can not be very reassuring to a member of a political party that ees already facing eets second huge election failure een a row, and een only two years, as well.

Pfui.

(oh, and to answer la trollita's question:

Even though las Democratistas Invertebradas be riddled weeth Bush-licking dogs who would sell out our rights like they were earmarks for a bridge to nowhere, we weel never vote for los Republiculos.

And I can geeve joo one good reason why:

We want a functioning government, not thees shambling hulk of conmen and leering fools who can keep joo scared, jumping like a galvanized frog at all their bogey-men... but can't keep the roads from falling apart, much less rescue a city een need.

More Republiculos = more Michael Browns, more I35 collapses, more deaths swept under the rug by a complacent rubberstamping congress.

Eef joo like crumbling, unsafe infrastructure, and a government wheech tells joo that government ees the problem by all means, vote Republiculo een 08'.

so.
